I've been making smoothies on a daily basis for over a year now. Finally  I have started to write down the concoctions I have created. I'm in love smoothies! I start my day with a smoothie or eventually work one in for a snack or even dinner if it feels right!

So, enjoy some of the recipes below. I will keep adding more as I create more in the kitchen. If YOU have a favorite please send the recipe along! I will also create a resource list at the bottom of this page of different blogs or sites where you can find even more smoothie treats! Enjoy friends! :)

Classic Green Monster

  • banana
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1c. almond milk
  • 3-6 c. spinach

Chocolate Green Monster

Mango Creamsicle

  • banana
  • handful frozen mango chunks
  • 1/2 c. almond milk
  • 1/2 c. greek yogurt
  • 1-2 pinches of shredded coconut

Berry Good

  • 2 c. frozen stawberries, blueberries, rasberries
  • 1/2 c. almond milk
  • 1/2 c. greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp. honey

Antioxidant Morning

Pumpkin Spice

  • banana
  • 1/2 c. canned pumpkin
  • 1 c. almond milk
  • dash of pumpkin spice & nutmeg

Girl Scout Thin Mint

  • 1 scoop Chocolate Shakeology
  • 1-2 tsp mint extract (or more if you're really into mint!)
  • 1 c. almond milk

Fruit Passion

  • 1 c. strawberries
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup greek yogurt

Mocha Surprise

  • banana
  • 1 scoop Chocolate Shakeology
  • 1/2 c. freshly brewed coffee
  • 1/2 c. almond milk

Peachy Day

  • 2 c. frozen peaches and strawberries
  • 1/2 c. almond milk
  • 1/2 c. greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp. honey

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

  • 1 c. strawberries
  • 1 scoop Chocolate Shakeology
  • 1 c. almond milk

Mango Tango

  • 1 c. frozen mango
  • 1/2 c. pineapple
  • 1/4 c. pineapple juice
  • 3/4 c. almond milk

Berry Oatmeal

  • banana
  • 1 c. strawberries
  • 1/4 c. rolled oats (uncooked)
  • 1/2 c. almond milk
  • 1/2 c. greek yogurt
  • 1-2 pinches shredded coconut

Mango Style

  • 2 c. mango
  • 3/4 c. orange juice
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1 tbsp. honey

Banana n Avocado

  • banana
  • 1/2 avocado mashed
  • 1 c. almond milk
  • 1/2 tbsp honey

Read below for an explanation to some of my favorite ingredients:

1. Spinach- I only mentioned spinach in the first two recipes but I add spinach to just about every single smoothie I ever make now. Yes, my smoothies do look various shades of green, brown and all colors in between. But you see, spinach is a powerhouse filled with so many awesome vitamins and nutrients. It is one of the top superfoods out there and should be a part of everyone's diet. Don't like the taste? Smoothies are an awesome option for you. You truly cannot taste it! 2. Almond milk- I started to incorporate almond milk into my life about a year ago. More for curiosity reasons than anything else but I pretty much fell in love immediately. I love the taste, the texture, everything about it! Something creamy that comes from freshly ground and pressed almonds? Sign me up! Of course it has fabulous health benefits: completely lactose free (issues with dairy- this is an awesome choice),  lower in fat than most dairy replacements, gluten and cholesterol free and mucho vitamins d, e and a. I personally buy Blue Diamond unsweetened vanilla but luckily there are many options! Check out Blue Diamond here. This is my mix in for smoothies but any type of dairy or non-dairy beverage will work fine.

3. Chocolate & Greenberry Shakeology powder– as someone who is involved in the fitness industry and has had many years of trial and error under her belt, I will only talk at length about a product that I truly believe in. There are millions upon millions of advertisements everywhere you go about products, foods or workouts that say will make you look or feel better. I've tried a lot. A lot. But I have never had the experience like I have with Shakeology and I can't help but share it! Beachbody has masterfully created something that will provide your body with every vitamin, nutrient, mineral, antioxidant, and superfood in 1 beautiful scoop of powder. I do not believe there is a comparable product out there right now. My thoughts: Shakeology is where my glow, my health and my energy comes from. I do not go a day without Shakeology somehow in my diet. I crave it and know that every time I drink I am taking the best care of my body. I have stopped taking all supplements and vitamins because of my green monsters combined with Shakeology and I've never felt healthier! Everything from acai berry to chia seeds to spinach to chlorella to blue-green algae to wheat grass is in this beauty.

    Just inquiring. I bought shakeology and love it….absolutely delicious! But it is pretty expensive. Can it take the place of my vitamins if combined with healthy eating. I'm sick of taking so many pills. Is there any way to get it cheaper thru a coach? Would it hurt to take a half a scoop a day?

    Welcome to the world of Shakeology! I just love this stuff!!!!

    It is expensive..especially when you compare it to other protein powders out there. But the quality ingredients can't be beat and to me, it's worth every penny! I do not take a daily vitamin now that I drink Shakeology so one expense is gone plus I rarely have my Starbucks coffee or food on the go because of my smoothies so I'm actually saving more with Shakeology than not.

    Of course you can use just have a scoop! I always tell clients to make it work for you. :) The only way to get a discount Laura is to either become a club member with Beachbody and you get 10% all products or if you become a coach then you get 25% off all products.
