Happy Monday friends!

How are you this fine day?

We had an exciting weekend over here in Boston- a taste of spring even! It was nearly 40 degrees yesterday and I was outside doing a little dance. It felt incredible! Not only was the sun out but I could actually FEEL the warmth on my face. :)

There are some exciting things coming up this week on Live Well Fit Now!

First off, LiveWellFitNow was featured someplace special today!!!!! Woohoo!

The lovely Rita over at FitBlogger gave me the opportunity to be the gal of the day, so to speak.

Go check us out!

And if you don't feel like clicking and leaving me quite yet, here is what I wrote over there:

FitBlogger Post

Well hello there! I'm Jenn from LiveWellFitNow. So good to "meet" you. I hope you will join me for a story about this little blog of mine. So sit back, grab a warm drink and read on.

The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.

~ Lao Tzu

I fell in love with that quote the other day.

You see, I finally woke up in 2008 and realized that I wasn’t really living my life. Well, I was going through the motions. I had a wonderful job, incredible friends, a loving boyfriend and a close family. If you looked at my life resume, things looked pretty fabulous actually!

But ask me how I felt on the inside….

Sad, lost, unfulfilled, out of touch, and unbalanced.

On a day in June of that year, I took one step. Not a giant leap but one small step in a brand new and unchartered direction. This step was one of commitment: to do one small thing each day to embrace who I was, to redefine what health meant to me, to reconnect with my body, to heal my relationship with food and to live authentically.

I began to live WELL with that one step.

In January of 2010, I wrote my first words at Live Well Fit Now. I was in such an adventurous place that month. I had left my full time job in healthcare to start my own wellness and holistic health coaching practice. I was 50 pounds lighter. I was healthier. I was passionate.

I was truly awake!

Over the course of the past year, my little blog has grown into a very special place for me. It is where I put words to my journey in leading a healthy, vibrant, balanced and well life. Oh don’t you worry, it isn’t always easy! I make many mistakes and I try things that don’t always work out.

But the beauty of a journey is it only requires you to take one small step again.

My blog gives life to my experiences with intuitive eating, a mindful approach to eating that allowed me to stop my fight against food. I also grown to love my body, nourish my body and accept my body for everything that it is through intuitive eating. I have grown and strived to become the definition of a “normal eater,” according to me!  I share my new attempts in the kitchen with recipes, how to's, and simple meals, no matter how many times I break a dish or lose my battle against the oven! I also look for ways to be inspired by exercise, to challenge my body to new levels and to play around with lofty goals! And some days, I take a step back and acknowledge the simplicity and the goodness in this life of mine. As a business owner, I am now invested in a program at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition to broaden my skills and bring new knowledge to clients. And I can't help it- I share all the new discoveries from this venture!

My place within the world of health, nutrition and fitness changes and grows as I keep on learning.

But most importantly, my dream for Live Well Fit Now is to be a continued place of inspiration. A place for understanding and warmth for each and every individual out there who is looking to take a step here or a step there in living well! So much has come from creating this blog and opening my mind to a new world of health and a community of bloggers that make me better everyday.

So come on by to LiveWellFitNow Share inspiration on a leading a life that keeps you awake and let’s spread some love!

Jenn can also be found on Facebook and Twitter.
