Hellooooo my wonderful friends!

How are YOU today?!?! Did you have a wonderful holiday? I sure hope so! Best gift given and received? Name it!

We had one incredible Christmas celebration out here in Boston. I was with the hubby and his family this year and it was so special. Actually our celebrating isn't over quite yet as we have one more big get together this week. I like it when Christmas spreads out across multiple days.

I spent much of Christmas morning baking and drinking coffee with my in laws. They are such genuine and wonderful people. They make you feel good every moment that you are with them! I watched my mother in law bake her famous apple pie. I know the process now! I'm just not sure if I will ever be brave enough to try it! It is by far the best apple pie I have EVER tasted!

I made a tasty gingerbread recipe that I will share with you soon. It was dark and rich and had the perfect lemon glaze on top.

And then Sunday night we were greeted with 17 inches of snow in Boston.

Hello winter wonderland…

Sledding in the park behind our home

My brother's sweet lab Bently. Looks like she loved the snow!

Needless to say outside of a walk in the snow, we did not leave our house yesterday. It was a day of nothing. A day of pj's. A day of many hot cups of coffee. A day of homemade stew.

A perfect snow day.

While curled up on the couch in my snowflake pj's I started to seek out inspiring articles for each of you as we approach the New Year. I didn't want your typical "Lose 2 dress sizes by February" or "Get a Rockin Body in 4 Weeks." No…I wanted articles that encourage change that is right for you. Change that fits you and your style. Change that begins from your core and works it's way out.

But that type of article is hard to find this time of year!

BUT, but, but, but I still found some good stuff for ya.

Here is what I dug up yesterday…articles that encourage change from the inside out and outside in.

Happiness Boosters– AOL Health

You're Just Minutes Away from Happiness– Institute for Integrative Nutrition

9 Ways to Give to Yourself this Holiday Season– Huffington Post

10 Thoughts on Change– Whole Living

What are your thoughts on the approaching New Year? What do you want to see different in your life? Or what do you want to see more of?

I fell in love with this quote yesterday:

"If you make only one resolution this year, let it be to live boldly. You control this moment. Rather than cautiously test the water, dive straight into life with freeing abandon. Imagine the person you want to be and the life you want to live, then simply commit to them. Believe in yourself. Embrace your beauty. Discover a new passion. And whatever you do, wherever you go, don’t be afraid to make a splash."

  1. That is a great quote! Thanks for sharing it. :) And also for sharing better articles than the lose weight fast stuff.

A snow day of nothing but stew, snuggles, and pjs sounds great!
