Hi friends! How's your day going? I'm recoperating after quite the workout at the gym. And I'm still warming up after a horribly cold walk home in the sub 25 degree weather.

You know, I have to say, I tend to avoid cardio machines these days. I think I've spent too many 30-45 minute blocks on one of the various pieces of equipment and I get very bored and I don't work as hard. I don't know, it just doesn't do it for me. I like my classes and my videos. I need the energy, loud music and excitement that those workouts provide me. What can I say, I'm obsessed with very particular things in my life.

I did complete a darn good workout though:

30 minutes stairmaster- random intervals of 1-2 minutes at levels 10-12, recovery 1-1.5 minutes at level 7 = HARD!

20 minutes spin bike- made it up as I went, varied speed and resistance every 2-3 minutes

Phew! Good cardio today and the best part of it- my toe felt great! Did ya remember the pinky toe incident? Well, we're still healing over here and each day I'm slowly able to work a little harder and do a little bit more. Finally!!!

So, what has been your fav workout these days? What do you do when you're stuck in a fitness rut and need to spice things back up?

My all time fav workouts: TurboKick & TurboJam (of course!), spinning, Body Pump, P90X yoga, Jenn's outdoor bootcamp (tell ya later about that), Chalean Extreme, stairmaster HIIT, Insanity (when I really need to sweat), treadmil hills

I am not an expert but I have certainly had my fair share of experience in trying new and different workouts. Leave a comment or email me if you have questions, you are stuck with workouts you aren't enjoying or are looking to take your fitness in a different direction. Or if you're even just trying to start an exercise routine! I would love to help. :)
