A special holiday offer

Grab a cup of tea and let's talk a journey to my past, shall we?

Today marks the beginning of our holiday season! I'd like to share with you what this joyous season used to feel like in my heart.

In the year 2007, I was at my heaviest weight. I was approaching numbers on the scale I had never seen.

Food was not my friend. Food had more power over my thoughts, my feelings and my day than anything else in my life. Food had absolute control.

The day after Halloween felt like a blur. I had eaten more candy, chocolate, ice cream and goodies than anyone should in a month. My stomach hurt, my mind felt groggy, my face looked puffy, and my heart was sad. Here was another morning where I would wake up wishing I could change.

November 1, the day after Thanksgiving, every Friday, the Monday before Christmas, the Tuesday before New Years, New Years Eve. Every day during the holiday season was marked with shame, guilt, sadness, and a wish to change. Everyday began with a new diet, my new fail-proof plan. Parties weren't focused on soaking up joy, celebration, good friends, or wonderful memories. No. Sadly, parties were spent consumed in my mind, battling with what to eat, what not to eat, how to dress, how to navigate the buffet table. How to be.

My holiday season was filled with struggle. It was filled with thoughts of diets, restricted foods, and over indulgent meals that left me in pain. That is what I remember most.

It is hard to think about the simple, perfect, and wonderful moments that I missed with family or friends because I was not present. I was always "somewhere else," thinking about how to change my body. I was always figuring out how to fight food.

Now let's fast forward to today. November 1, 2010. How am I feeling?

Alive

Present

Balanced

Healthy

Happy

At peace with my body, loving my body. Accepting and embracing myself.

Excited to enter the holiday season where I am now truly HERE. Excited to enjoy this time with friends and family. Excited to taste all of the flavors that I wish and to know that I can!

I am able to feel this way because of the choice I made a few years ago: the choice to change. The choice to start small, to ask for support, to change my relationship with food, to seek balance, to seek whole body health.

Now that is only my story. We all have our own.

My question for you today is rather simple:

How would you like to feel this holiday season? What would you like to remember when you wake up on January 1, 2011?

My special holiday offer

Would you like to feel more balanced, well, content, healthy and at peace with food? Would you like to wake up on January 1st and smile knowing that you have already taken steps, strides and maybe even leaps towards feeling your best?

Even if you barely whispered yes then I would like to extend a special offer to you.

For the month of November, I will be offering free wellness and fitness coaching to the first 10 responders. For four weeks, I will coach you towards feeling your best! Feeling most alive. Feeling engaged with your life. Feeling connected with your body. Feeling at peace with your body. Feeling the wisdom your mind + body has.

Can you imagine what that might feel like? Allow yourself to dream, imagine and feel how incredible this gift could be for YOU! Let's create, together, a new path for you this holiday season.

This offer is valued at more than $200 so let's begin now!

  1. I have SO been there. Isn't is painful to not be able to enjoy the season for what it truly means because food and body image issues have the control? Very freeing to not be in that place anymore.

The past few years I have been in the process of getting in tune with my body. I still ignore it from time to time but I am getting better at listening to it. This is such a great holiday offer!
