A new goal + mantra

Hello there!

A very happy Wednesday to you.

Do you call Wed Hump Day? I go back and forth. Sometimes I forget about that expression and it's all I think about when I start my Wednesday morning…the halfway point to the weekend. I am especially feeling that today. I have an incredible weekend ahead of me. The last crazy one of the month and then we get to breathe a bit over here. All of my incredible bridesmaids are coming into town for my bridal shower on Saturday. I feel very spoiled…this is my second bridal shower. Friends- you've been too good to me! So we have guests in our home until Monday and lots of very fun girlie things to do. Somehow Saturday night has turned in to my bachelorette night. I think it will be a blast. I have all of my girlfriends in one place at one time. Fabulous!

And…my wonderful friend Colleen is making all of the food for the shower. Stop on by her blog when you can- she is an incredible baker!  What Is Baking in the Barbershop

So, as the craziness of this weekend unfolds I find myself thinking about all of the new things in my life. It's kind of been a big year…

I left my full time job.

I pursued a new career.

We bought a home.

I am getting married.

I am starting a business.

What else can I throw in there? :)

But through everything I have felt incredible, in control, relatively relaxed and just GOOD. There is no other word than that one. And I think that is a very strong sign that I'm in the right place. I'm doing the right things.

But that doesn't mean I don't have my crap days. Oh there is crap to be had friends! That's reality, isn't it? The question is how do we take in the crap? How do we deal with it, sit in it, work through it, let go of it. Move past it.

I believe that much of our life in dealing with crap comes down to our attitude. Our attitude drives our beliefs, our decisions, our days. Attitude is the tone of the voice in your head. The little you sitting on your shoulder begging you to take a break. Or it's the other little you screaming loudly at the person who just cut you off.

Attitude can make a day of crap into a day of perfection…

A few words of inspiration for you.

Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference.  ~Winston Churchill

"If you don't like something change it; if you can't change it, change the way you think about it." ~Mary Engelbreit

"The greatest discovery of my generation is that a human being can alter his life by altering his attitudes." ~William James

"Any day we wish; we can discipline ourselves to change it all. Any day we wish; we can open the book that will open our mind to new knowledge. Any day we wish; we can start a new activity. Any day we wish; we can start the process of life change. We can do it immediately, or next week, or next month, or next year." ~ Jim Rohn

So, how will your attitude change your day today or tomorrow?

Me? Well, my inspiration comes from a new mantra that I created today:

To breathe and admire

I also have a new goal for this little blog of mine. And that involves pictures. I've realized that my pages seem bleak and lonely these days with very few pictures. That simply has to change! I like to read and look at pictures and I imagine you do too!

With that friends, I am off to do more work and then dance the night away! :)

    Good inspirational words.
I like photos on blogs. They break it up and make it interesting especially if you read a lot of blogs.

Have fun at your shower – lucky you. You will be the star of the show. How exciting.
